Message based on the lawyers advice. This is the same type of lawsuit that drove the prices of general aviation aircraft through the roof. Some wannabe hotshot pilot buys a plane that's 30 years old and crashes it killing himself and others. They sue the aircraft manufacturer for a defective product when that plane had been bought and sold several times over. The end result was the survivors won the lawsuits and the cost of general aviation aircraft skyrocket so the manufacturers can recover the cost of the lawsuits.

Filing a lawsuit and winning it, in this case, may or may not work out. The driver was an amateur and was in over his head. Money does not buy brains. An experienced driver would have been aware of his surroundings most likely avoiding the accident and would not have put the life of another in jeopardy with a known problem with his car.

What the story fails to mention is if this was an unmodded car. Was it new and was he the original owner? I find it hard to beleive that Porsche is selling cars that can't handle at 145. There's many "if's" to this story and I don't think we're getting the whole story, just the twist on it that will sell the tale to the average reader with no knowledge of performance cars other than what they see on TV.
